ˈLiozna ˈMilitary Forˈmations and ˈUnits
For the liberation of the rajon centre of Liozna, Viciebsk Voblasc (October 8, 1943), during the offensive in the Viciebsk direction, five formations and units of the Kalinin Front were awarded the Liozna honorary title by the Order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief dated October 10, 1943.
The units and formations which were awarded the Liozna honorary title were the 158th Rifle Division (major general I. S. Biazugly), 28th Guards Tank Brigade (colonel E. M. Kovalev), 4th Fighter-Anti-Tank Artillery Brigade (colonel M. P. Sawlievich), 472nd Howitzer Artillery Regiment (Lt.Col. B. S. Gobedashvili), 114th Motorised Engineer Battalion (major G. I. Mirzoev).
